Dark Horse Stables is a full service Hunter / Jumper Texas boarding and training facility located in the beautiful Hill Country outside of Austin. Our 12 stall barn and beautiful paddocks provide a comfortable environment for horses. The grass jumping field and outdoor sand arena offer a great variety for lessons. Laura Graves, the head trainer, has more than 15 years of experience in the national USEF "A" shows, with successes in the hunter, jumper, and equitation divisions.
The atmosphere in the barn is welcoming and supportive, while maintaining a high level of professionalism. We strive to help each rider achieve their individual goals. The training philosophy at Dark Horse Stables centers around the understanding that our horses are hard-working and incredible athletes and they are taken care of as such.
Our experienced staff is committed to the health and happiness of your horse. We emphasize a balanced and nutritious diet, feeding the best quality grain and hay to support a high level of fitness in our horses. We work with the top veterinarians and farriers in the area to keep our horses feeling great and enthusiastic about their work. Our horse boarding stables will provide your horse one of the best atmostpheres possible in the Austin area.

Monthly training programs are geared toward horse shows, stressing fitness, strength, and confidence. Dedication and hard work are crucial for riders and horses aiming for consistent success in the show ring. We also offer more flexible horse riding lesson plans for the less competitive riders. We place as much emphasis on trusting and having fun with your horse as we do on seeing results in competition.
